                                                   Identifying Bias

ITEM 1:

Type of bias: Stereotype

Analysis: The picture shows a lot of popular images in the United Kingdom such as: royal families, guardsman in red uniform, weather, welsh… All these images remind viewers of symbols of traditional British society. That means viewers are able to connect to Britain through this picture.

Type of bias: Prejudice

Analysis: In many countries and regions, people who is injected HIV/AID are separated from community. They are treated badly by other people. No one wants to make friend with them which make them feel lonely and sad.

ITEM 3: Scapegoating cartoon

                                      

Type of bias: Scapegoating 



Analysis: While two men in suits- two business are having meal, they are deliberating each other that they are getting credit. They are happy, and satisfied whether they are successful or not, both of them are still safe. They are planning to blame sins for the other persons who are innocent. In the modern society, the corruption is social evils being condemned.
