Item2

 Types of bias:
- Discrimination
Identifying bias:
This signboard discriminates against the poor and other disturbing realities from reaching their ‘control environment”.

Item 3:

Types of bias:
- Stereotypes

Analysis:
It is a general perception that people with mental illnesses are prone to violence. This perception has developed from the stereotypes portrayed in movies or written about in books, where in a mentally ill person becomes violent and goes on a rampage. Although, there are a few isolated cases of mentally ill people, who have a tendency towards violence, yet, if we look at the statistics, they show that mentally ill people are no more violence prone than the normal people.

  1. Dear Them, I have some comments about your 1st item:
    - Racism is not a type of bias. I think this should be more clearly.
    - I don't think that the picture does not mention racism:((

  2. thank you for your entry. it is good because of the variety and your good choices. However, i have the same idea as Nga's, racism is not a type of bias. Moreover,in the second item,it doesn't discriminate disturbing realities, it just discriminates poor people because i think discriminating disturbing realities is appropriate.
