Type of bias: Discrimination
Description: The video begins with a little girl crying for loosing her balloon. Then a black man comes out and climb on to take the balloon back for her. As soon as he lands down, her mother comes and take her away from the black man, saying something angrily. He is so sad. When he comes home, a lot of balloons appear in his house. He looks at them sadly then lies down the bed. He turns to a piece of tooth gel.
Analysis: The mother in this ads tries to prevent her daughter from the black man, which shows that she thinks the man is dangerous, bad and maybe dirty. It is racial discrimination.
Item 2:
Type of bias: Stereotype
Analysis: A lot of situations in that misunderstanding appears so many times just because people judge too quickly, not considering things carefully. A wife seeing her husband with a knife and the cat with blood immediately thinks that he has just killed the cat. A girl thinks her boy friend is "playing with himself" when she sees him watching "sensitive" scene on TV and doing something with his hands without knowing that he's just polishing his shoes.
Item 3:
Type of bias: Discrimination
Analysis: In the picture, the word "hired" appears above the young girl and "not hired" above the old woman. It means that people just hire those who are young not thinking of how smart, experienced they are or is that true that the young is better than the older.

Trả lờiXóawhat impresses me most is video in item 1 and 2. They are really intresting. However, I'd make a comment on your assigment. To my thinking, the type of bias in item 2 is assumption, not stereotype. As we saw in video, the characters in the situation jump to a conclusion based on limited knowledge of the facts. For example, the wife think that her husband killed a cat based on a knife in his hand and something red on the floor. In fact, that knife is a tool he is preparing a meal and lots of spilt ketchup on the floor.

XóaI was really impressed by a series of short videos in your item 2. However I think it is about assumption because, as Lan said, some people in the clips were judged by others who have no idea of what was going on
