-Analysis:
The lady( the old staff underestimates the new staff ( the girl). In her opinion, she can’t get promoted so fast. She may be too confident. Because she herself works for a long time but hasn’t yet been promoted. Perhaps, she doesn’t believe in her real talent. However, there are some people with excellent skill can achieve the success soon albeit their young age. Furthermore, experiences or age can’t decide everything.

- Type of Bias: Stereotype
- Analysis:
There are four pictures here.
The first picture “I’m punk so I must rebel “. She’s a punk so in people’ point of view she must rebel. However, it’s only a kind of music she likes. There may be many other people who are fond of that kind of music have the characteristic like so .
The second picture : “I’m an Asian so I must like math”. Almost people think that the Asian often like math. They do not regard to individual differences, nevertheless. The girl may not like it.
” Dye my hair crazy color so I must be looking for attention”. It’s people’ though. However, the girl is unlikely to gain attention. The chance are that she is simply interested in it.
‘’I’m a person so I must be stereotyped”. Everybody deems that a person must belong to some certain kinds whether good or bad.
Item3:
-Type of bias: Pride and prejudice
-Analysis:
In the Weeding in Western countries women’ pride is supposed to be weaker than that of men ,they are passive in almost situations yet as romantic scenes.. When men are away , women become alone. They live in loneliness hoping her love will come back soon.
I think you have a good point being various of types of bias and forms of items. However, i'd like to make a few remarks on your item 1 and 3.
Trả lờiXóaIn the first item, personally, there isn't discrimination. To the best of my knowledge, anyone want to be promoted based on his/her talent and relation, not experience. therefore, there is completely unfair treating of an employer.
In the item 3, I think: pride and prejudice is a name of a film, not the type of bias. you shouldhave a careful and clear analysis on it.

- item 1: i quite agree with Lan, your item is not an example for discrimination. you should read the definition carefully. In addition i think this item is stereotype
- item 3: i just don't understand what is the link between your picture and your analyzing
I have the same opiniom with Lan and Luyen about your item 1 and item 3. However, I think, item 1 is prejudice, it is a negative judgement without knowledge of the facts.
Trả lờiXóaItem 2 is very interesting. You have a good choice. In contrast, the first and the third items are absolutely bad-choiced. As Lan said, the first one is not discrimination and the third one is not stereotype at all. You should pay more attention! Thanks.
