ENTRY 3
Identifying Bias
- Source: http://www.fanpop.com/spots/human-rights/images/410848/title/what-discrimination-photo
- Discrimination
- Analysis: The picture shows gender discrimination. As you see, corporate ladders of men are much taller than women's. It is unfair when women do not treat as square as men in career.
ITEM 2
- Scapegoating
- Analysis: As you can see in the picture,a secretary is reporting about the earthquake to the presedent. The report said that earthquake was caused by unamed fault. After listening to her, the presedent called it “BUSH’S FAULT”. The president blamed for the fault on Bush president who was a former president unfairly.
ITEM 3:
- Stereotype
- Analysis: the picture shows clearly stereotype based on opinion without regard to individual differences. It is believed if you have some features of characteristics, you can tell I’m British. However, these characteristics may present British but not all British have the same ones, and many people from other nations may have the same characteristics.
your entry is quite well-organized. In my opinion, your first picture about the girl and the two ladders, is more likely prejudice than discrimination. the shorter ladder is somehow shows us the negative way of thinking that women cannot do as good as men in all aspects
Trả lờiXóaI want to give some comments:
Trả lờiXóa- Item 1: In my opinion,it is stereotype. Many people always think that women only do housework and can not be good at career.
- You did a good job in the item 2 and item 3.
